PaaS

Platform as a Service

Unlock the power of secure, scalable, and fully managed hosting with our PaaS. Simplify your production operations journey and focus on growth, while we handle the rest.

What is PaaS?

PaaS (Platform as a Service) is a cloud computing model that allows customers to develop, run, and manage applications without dealing with the infrastructure typically associated with application development.
PaaS solutions enable faster product time to market and provide tools and services for operational management.

Why our PaaS

Premium hardware

We purchase only best equipment on the market as it proven to reduce downtime and customer frustration.

No overselling

Traditional hosting providers are setting you up for failure by allocating the same unused capacity to multiple customers.

Present, where you need

Our hyper scaling technology securely abstracts physical data centers into virtual assets with failover support, allowing seamless connection to existing infrastructure providers.

WHAT WE HAVE MASTERED

Advanced Cloud Solutions

Unlock the potential of the cloud with our advanced solutions. From robust security measures and seamless workload scheduling to dynamic autoscaling and cost-effective resource consumption, our services are designed to enhance your operations and drive innovation.
Experience the future of cloud computing with unparalleled performance and reliability.

Security-first features

Protect your data with industry-leading security measures. Our solution includes encryption at rest, a service mesh for secure communication, strict network policies, trusted computing, extensive log collection out of the box, background security scans, and more.

Pay per Resource Consumption

Optimize costs with our flexible pricing model. Stop paying for oversized servers and unused resources. Charges are based only on the infrastructure units used each hour, with no reservation fees or fees for paused stateless workloads.

Smart scheduling

Optimize workload distribution with our advanced orchestration layer. Depending on your settings, workloads are scheduled across different datacenters and underlying hardware, enabling intelligent load balancing, automatic failover, and efficient resource utilization, providing a robust foundation for your mission-critical applications.

Autoscaling

Adapt to dynamic workloads with ease. Automatically scale out by adding more instances (horizontal scaling) or scale up by enhancing the capacity of existing instances (vertical scaling) to meet your application demands in real-time.

Estimate costs with PaaS calculator

PaaS public datacenter calculator

Use this calculator to customize your cloud resources and estimate costs. Compare public datacenters, adjust CPU, RAM, storage, and other options to match your needs and see pricing instantly. Since resource usage is linked into Infrastructure Units, you may utilize extra resources at no additional cost: for example, a large RAM reservation could provide extra disk, CPU, and outgoing public traffic for free. FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How you can promise the Autopilot and know how our app works?

We dedicate a group of engineers to support your project. They monitor your operational metrics, create alerts, and familiarize themselves with your applications by reading documentation and code. When an issue arises, they already know the background and context of your apps, allowing them to address problems quickly and effectively.

How can we ensure that autoscale won’t just scale indefinitely, consuming our entire account balance?

We implement both soft and hard resource limits for each service. When memory utilization exceeds 80% of the soft limit, we signal your applications to free up unnecessary memory to reduce pressure. Memory will only be increased if the application still needs it, ensuring controlled and efficient scaling. Additionally, there are mechanisms to throttle CPU, storage and network usage to prevent overconsumption of resources.

Do you have any API to manage PaaS programmatically?

Yes. The API documentation can be found here

What is the onboarding process like for new customers?

After opening an account and creating a project, you will be able to open a request to host a service. Depending on expected engagement level, we offer from text-based consultation to dedicated PM to understand your specific needs, followed by a guided setup of our platform features such as security measures, smart scheduling, and autoscaling.

How customizable are your security policies?

While having strict security defaults, our security policies are highly customizable to meet your specific requirements. You can configure various areas such as storage, network, trusted computing, and more to align with your security standards. If your case requires something advanced, we will guide you through our private datacenter feature, which offers the most dynamic security configuration flexibility.

Can we integrate third-party monitoring tools with your platform?

You may integrate third-party monitoring tools to alert your team about possible incidents. However, Tempico Labs’ Unified Operations Center engineers rely on our internal monitoring tools, which include features that call special functions of our platform and automatically remediate basic issues.

Can we customize the alerts and monitoring metrics?

Yes, you can customize alerts and monitoring metrics to suit your specific needs. Our engineers will guide you in setting thresholds and notifications to keep you informed of any issues or performance changes.

How do you handle data compliance and regulatory requirements?

As a security-focused company, we ensure data compliance and regulatory adherence through our robust security measures, especially in the EU. We commit to working closely with you to meet specific regulatory requirements, ensuring that your data and operations remain compliant with relevant laws and standards.

Is there a setup fees or any hidden charges?

A setup fee is charged when a manual, customized setup is required for your project or production environment, either based on the number of support hours used or a fixed rate. However, if you choose a paid support plan that includes monthly support hours, the setup fee is often covered, so you won’t need to pay it separately. Additionally, when automated deployment is available for your requested services, setup fees are not required as well.

Our pricing structure ensures that you only pay for the level of customization and support you need, with no hidden charges.

What kind of support is available during critical incidents?

During critical incidents, our dedicated engineering team provides proactive and responsive support, leveraging their familiarity with your applications and operational metrics to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.

What are the typical response times for support requests?

Our response times vary based on the support plan you choose. However, we prioritize critical issues and strive to provide prompt support for all inquiries to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Is there a trial period or demo available for your PaaS solution?

We currently do not offer a trial period as we don’t require a long-term commitment. If you’re unsure, simply give us a try! With hour-based billing, you can cancel your PaaS resource at any time, making it easy to move on if it’s not the right fit for you.

What types of applications are best suited for your PaaS solution?

Our PaaS solution is versatile and can support a wide range of applications, from web, IOT and mobile apps to high-performance computing tasks requiring GPU acceleration and specialized hardware configurations.

How often are platform updates and maintenance performed?

We regularly perform platform updates and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security. We update base images and infrastructure components during low-usage periods to minimize any impact on your operations.

I still have a hard time understanding what is PaaS. A Pizza example perhaps?

Sure!

  • Traditional on-premises: You buy all the ingredients (flour, tomatoes, cheese, toppings), cook it in your own kitchen, use your oven, and clean up afterward. You manage everything yourself.

  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): The pizza shop provides the kitchen (oven, utensils), but you still bring your own ingredients and cook the pizza. You manage the cooking and cleaning up, but the infrastructure is provided.

  • Platform as a Service (PaaS): The pizza shop gives you the dough, sauce, cheese, and oven. You only choose the toppings and decide how you want it cooked. You don’t worry about preparing the dough, sauce, or maintaining the oven.

  • Software as a Service (SaaS): You simply order a pizza, and it’s delivered to your door. Everything from preparation to delivery is managed for you.

In the PaaS case, you focus on the pizza toppings (application) without worrying about the dough, sauce (runtime, frameworks), or the oven (servers). The platform (Tempico Labs) handles that for you.
